In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr:  family-friendly community celebration will be held at The Park Theatre in Jaffrey on Tuesday, January 21st from 5-6 p.m. The Jaffrey Grade School Chorus will perform songs and lead the traditional audience participation sing.  Guest speaker Ali Sekou will share his inspiring journey to citizenship and the right to vote.

Ali Sekou grew up in a small village in Niger, immigrated and settled in New Hampshire, learned English and went on to higher education, and made history as the first New American, first African American, and first Muslim to be elected to the Concord City Council.

A reception follows the ceremony.
